Finally, a pillow
that provides the luxury and comfort of down in an all-natural,
hypo-allergenic product that's less expensive than down and
respects the planet and its inhabitants. The Ceiba Pillow is
a new luxury bedding product with a conscience - one that answers
today's demand for better quality products that differentiate
your offerings from the fray.
|
|

Ceiba Pillows
contain a lustrous, all-natural, silky fibre. This down-like,
hypo-allergenic product comes from the pods of the Ceiba (also
know as kapok) tree that grows in the Philippines, India, Indonesia,
Sri Lanka, tropical America and Africa. After the ripe pods
of the tree are harvested, the seeds are removed and the fluffy
fibre is meticulously cleaned and dried.
Incredibly light
and machine washable and dryable, the Ceiba Pillow provides
the ideal combination of softness and support, contouring to
fit the head and neck for a rejuvenating night's sleep.

can be traced to the type of pillow being used or due to poor
sleep posture.

The optimum support comes from resting one's head in a concave
depression, the edge of which supports the curve of the neck.
This can be achieved with pillows that have loose fillers, such
as the Ceiba Pillow.
The perfect pillow should refluff to its original shape when
shaken out, prevent waking with a stiff neck, offer ideal comfort
for sleeping, be hypo-allergenic, washable and inhibit the growth
of allergens - that's the Ceiba Pillow.

The Ceiba tree
is an important rain forest tree, sustaining plant and animal
life. Each Ceiba tree left standing helps maintain this vital
ecosystem.
Ceiba Pillows are produced in an environmentally responsible
manner that respects the ecosystem and provides much needed
work to indigenous people.

|

With the development of the Ceiba
Pillow, Desalon International Inc. is able to focus on environmental
benefits, utilizing forest resources as a technical and economic
solution for native farmers. The natural fibre used in the Ceiba
Pillow is harvested in an environmentally responsible and sustainable
manner and production does not involve cruelty to animals.
After harvesting, the pod covers are composted to become organic
fertilizer. The company is negotiating with the government and
farmers in the Philippines to reforest marginal lands with kapok
trees.
